First Baptist Church was instituted in 1840 under the name Princeton Baptist Church. In 1915, the name “First Baptist” was offically adopted with the dedication of the present church building. Throughout its history, First Baptist Church has been involved in the local church plants of Burke Memorial (1945), Lilly Grove (1952), Immanuel (1953), Silver Springs (1957), and Willowbrook (1960). Having been established for 180 years, FBC recognizes and appreciates its rich history while anticipating an even brighter future. This church has existed to glorify God for nearly two centuries and we will continue pressing on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:12-16).
